About the studio
We recently acquired one of the most beautiful Steinway D grand pianos I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing! Together with an exceptional Fazioli F-212 grand piano and the excellent natural and adjustable acoustics provided by movable acoustic panels, we guarantee high-quality classical and jazz recordings.
A wide range of microphones is available, including top-of-the-line models such as a DPA-4006 stereo pair and numerous Neumanns and AKGs. These microphones perform at their best thanks to one of the best microphone preamps on the market: the Millennia HV 3D, and our RME audio interface. Our recordings sound extremely detailed, warm, and natural.
The recordings can be finished with the stunning reverb of Altiverb and a wide range of high-quality plugins.
Everything is recorded in Pro Tools, ensuring compatibility with most other studios.
Listen to our recordings in the finest detail on our top-of-the-line Focal monitors. We’d be happy to serve you a cup of coffee or a latte macchiato while you listen.
Behind the controls is Tom Hermans. He has years of experience in recording, a keen ear, and is highly skilled in editing.
Would you like to make a recording with piano accompaniment? Tom Hermans is a professional pianist and accompanist. For a small additional fee, he can provide you with the perfect musical backdrop.
The Steinway D
Almost every top-tier concert hall features a Steinway D. And for good reason. These are robust instruments with a fantastically beautiful tone, a versatile tonal palette, and a perfectly controllable touch. Thanks to its 2.74-meter length, the sound is exceptionally deep and warm, even in the bass register.
The piano we have in our studio is quite special. While many new Steinways can sometimes sound a bit thin and somewhat sterile, ours sounds very warm and sensual. Perhaps because the instrument has had time to mature (it’s from 1969) or perhaps because of the American strings. By nature, it’s a very mellow instrument, but when you really let loose, a storm breaks out.
The instrument has been fully restored and technically tuned to perfection. You’ll be able to let loose on it without any inhibitions. What’s more, you’ll be inspired to do things you never thought possible!
Be sure to come by for a look and a play—no strings attached!

The Fazioli
Fazioli grand pianos are highly sought-after. They are largely handcrafted from high-quality materials. Fazioli grand pianos belong to the top segment of the market and are expensive. The soundboard is crafted from high-quality spruce from the Val di Fiemme region of South Tyrol—the same type of wood from the same region that Antonio Stradivari used to build his violins.
Fazioli grand pianos are characterized by their sonority and clear tone. The action is extremely precise, and the finish is virtually flawless.
Our studio features an exceptionally beautiful F-212 in perfect condition.
